Jupongatana and Shishio

Shishio replaced Kenshin as the hitokiri in the shadows when Kenshin fought in the Bakamatsu. When the government thought he knew too much, they had him shot in the head and burned alive. He was not killed, but increased his skills as a swordsman. Since his pores were singed shut, he cannot sweat. He can only fight for 15 minutes before his blood starts evaporating.

Makoto Shishio

Yumi Kamagata

Yumi is Shishio’s girlfriend (Sounds kinda weird when you’re talking about Shishio). She used to be a wealthy upperclassman, but then she met Shishio. She would sacrifice herself for him. ~hint~

Senkaku

Senkaku is big, fast, and dumb. Kenshin beats him by running around. He has blades he holds in his hand (Think Voldo on Soul Caliber).

Cho Sawagejo (The Sword Hunter)

Cho is the sword hunter of the Juppongatana. He has a few of Shakku’s swords including the Renbatou (2 Swords attached at the hand guard) and the Hakujin no Tachi (An extremely long and wavy sword made from very thin metal). He becomes a policeman.

Houji Sadojima (The Knowledge)

Houji is probably the most loyal of the Juppongatana. After Shishio “baptized” him with his hand, Houji felt what Shishio did. During the fight with Kenshin, Houji threw a gun off the roof to show he had total confidence in Shishio. When Shishio lost, Houji went nuts and eventually killed himself.

Anji Yukiuzan (The Destroyer)

Anji is a fallen monk. In his religious days, he lived with a small family. The kids would ask him if he would marry their older sister, but soon after, their house was burnt down by the government. Anji killed everyone involved, and developed the Futae no Kiwami. He chose years in jail over a deal with the government after Shishio’s death.

Kamitari Honjo (The Large Scythe)

Kamitari is the transvestite of the Juppongatana. He was always angry because he couldn’t compete with Sojiro or Yumi for Shishio. The large scythe he uses has a ball and chain attached. After Shishio died, he became a spy.

Henya Kariwa (The Flight)

Henya is grotesquely skinny. He can fly into the air, and drop bombs. He also has a blade on his hand.

Nothing is known about Iwambo except he is fat and very strong. He is also too stupid to have any kind of fighting strategy.

Fuji (The Destruction Army)

Fuji is a giant. When he was younger, kids were scared of him, and police shot him. Saizuchi found him, and used him to fight. Fighting with Hiko, Fuji realized he didn’t need Saizuchi.

Saizuchi found Fuji after he was shot. He used him to fight until he fought Hiko.

Usui Uonoma (The Eye of the Heart)

Usui fought Shishio in the Bakamatsu, and lost his eyes. He was thrown out of his troop, and died for a second. When he came to, he had gained super sensitive hearing. He calls it the Eye of the Heart. He can hear muscles contract which tells him what position his opponent uses. He uses a turtle shell and spear with a ball on the end. He is killed by Saito’s Zero Stance Gatotsu.

Sojiro Seta (The Tenken)

Sojiro lived with a bad family. They made him work and beat him all the time. One day, Shishio came to his house, and Sojiro laughed at the idea of dying. He fed Shishio and gave him fresh bandages, so Shishio repaid him with a sword. Sojiro’s family found out Shishio was there, and they were going to kill Sojiro and turn in Shishio, but Sojiro killed them all. Shishio embedded the law of nature into his mind; “If you are stong you live, if you are weak you die”. Sojiro has only one emotion, happy. Because of this, Kenshin can’t read his attacks. He is finally beaten by Kenshin when the thought of not killing drove Sojiro crazy, and Kenshin could easily read his emotions.
